All our food is traditional farmhouse cuisine, home-cooked and seasonal, all locally sourced and organic where possible, supporting many small producers in the area.

A typical menu would be:

Friday evening – Soup with homemade bread and a selection of cheeses

Breakfasts – A choice of full English, cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, teas and fruit juice.

Lunches – Ploughman’s including seasonal quiches and salads, homemade bread, chutneys and cold meats.

Dinner – Steak and onion pie, vegetarian option – mushroom and onion pie, served with fresh seasonal vegetables followed by apple pie.

Coffee and tea breaks are accompanied by fresh cakes or biscuits.

We are licensed to sell alcohol and stock a selection of good wines, bottled beers, real ales, cider, lager, spirits and soft drinks.

A menu will be provided prior to stay.

We do our best to cater for any dietary requirements. Please let us know when booking.

The wonderful range of delicious cheeses we serve are all made here in the southwest.

All meats, sausages and bacon are produced locally and are free range.

Eggs are from the neighbouring free range chicken farm when our own chickens are not in full lay.

Vegetables are sourced from local markets and farm shops or else fresh from our own organic vegetable garden.

All bread is made by Melanie using organic flours and baked in the farmhouse kitchen Aga

Our aim is to provide simple, yet delicious real food, all locally sourced supporting our community and caring for our environment.
