If you are undecided what to do, why not come on one of our Country Craft Taster Weekends? These consist of four enjoyable workshops giving you the opportunity to sample four different crafts. (please note crafts occasionally may vary)

  • Make a colourful willow platter using willow and dogwood
  • Learn simple weave techniques
  • Make a simple hand-built pinch pot
  • A fascinating informal talk on the ancient art of sawdust/pit firing
  • Find out how to prepare clay, wedge, decorate and finish pieces
  • Sample the ancient craft of spinning wool
  • Make a useful green wood hanging rail
  • Use traditional tools from shave horses to handsaws

Simon & Melanie - Tutors

You will be introduced to four different crafts. Simon Osborne will be teaching the green wood hanging rails whilst Melanie Osborne will be tutoring the pottery, willow work and spinning.
